Before getting started here are some things to consider during the design process
When planning for a greenhouse there are a lot of factors to take into consideration!
Start with asking yourself these questions:
- Is Heavy Snow or Wind Load a concern?
- Is my location appropriate for 3 or 4 season growing?
- Will I be using a Light Dep System on this greenhouse?
- What type of HVAC do I need? Passive, Solar or 110V
- Where will aisle ways, tables/benches, irrigation station/supplies be?
- Will I be allowing room for a potting, transplanting or processing area?
- Will I be storing farm tools, amendments, or liquid nutrients inside?
- What are my canopy management strategies? What if it gets out of hand?
